[This next message comes after a pretty hefty interval, and just from the quality of the text, it's fairly evident that, well. Something has changed, certainly.]

Oh! Bother, I'm so very sorry. Who is this? I'm so sorry to have bothered you.

This is Chihiro Fujisaki. It's no bother, really.

Was that your Dedenne I was speaking with?

Oh, yes! It was, I'm surprised he managed it, really. I'd thought he was only jumping around on the keys at random, making a nuisance of himself.

I see...he was actually typing quite well! I didn't have a problem understanding what he wanted to say.

[Not to mention the little guy contacted someone, deliberately.]

He's rather mischievous that way, I've found. His name is Mortimer.

Well, if Mortimer ever wants someone to talk to, I certainly don't mind.

[Fujisaki said not to be a stranger! So here he is, not being a stranger! Voicemail made it easier to ramble - which he was trying NOT to do, but that's just how it is sometimes.]

When we were talkin' that day, I said I was gonna give you some more pokemon snacks- not the sweets, that's for the gift. I just finished making a new batch so they're really fresh! ...It's not something super fancy, but Poochy likes it. And she's the pickiest eater I have.

So. [th-the rest comes out in a rush]

If I want I can stop over your place today and hand 'em over? We're leaving for Olivine in a couple of hours.

[Oh, they're leaving already? It felt like they just got to town, too.]

That would be fine. I'll be home all day, so you can come over whenever you would like.

[They've got people to see and places to be... But does Chihiro just stay in Goldenrod?]

Okay. ...I can come over now. I'll be by your place in a bit.

[In about 20 minutes he's already standing outside her door, umbrella in one hand and bag of snacks tucked under his arm. He shifts around his belongings until his hand is free enough to ring her door bell.]

[As of late, he has. Goldenrod has become pretty much home at this point, after all.

When the doorbell rings, the first thing Rin will hear is a very sudden swell of footfalls heading down the hallway until they congregate all in front of the door. Chihiro knew that even if he had waited downstairs he wouldn't have beat the horde to the front of the house, so he's left to wade through a sea of Eevees to get to the front door. His Flareon, Henko, trots along with him, picking up Eevees in her mouth by the scruff to gently set aside.]

I'm coming-!

[He finally manages to make it to the door, pulling it ajar just enough so he can peek out.]

Ah, Okumura-san, come in! Be careful where you step.

[Also brace yourself because here they come.]

Yo! Uhm...

[How could he possibly brace himself against a horde of cute? He sorely wishes one of his own had come along with him. They would have loved to see all of the Eevees... But they had to stay behind. None of them liked getting wet, and he couldn't hold one in his arms along with everything else he had to carry.

Rin isn't sure where not to step after he's been greeted by so many little pokemon. He makes sure to close his umbrella before he carefully edges closer to the door. She said "come in" but was there really a way past the Eevees?]

I'll try? I didn't know you were a breeder! [SINCE. SHE HAS SO MANY...]

Of course I am! I didn't breed all of these Eevee, though. They belonged to the person who owned this house before they left Johto.

[After Chihiro's Flareon shifts the pile of Eevees around a bit, Rin will have a clear path into the house. Of course, that isn't going to stop them from trying to hop up onto his legs, fluffy tails wagging eagerly as they all try to get his attention at once.]

I can't believe you inherited an entire house! That's good though - especially for all these little guys!

[He wants to give them all his undivided attention. Look at those little paws! And those fluffy tails! And those big eyes! Once that path is (marginally) clear, he'll carefully step inside, making sure to keep that umbrella away from them. They were dry and fluffy things should stay dry.]

[Chihiro pulls the door shut behind Rin, trying to shoo the Eevees away a little so he'll actually have room to walk.]

Mhm. They've been around for quite some time now...it feels like every time you turn around there are a few more than there used to be.

You can come upstairs with me for a minute if you'd like. We might not get any peace down here otherwise...

Y'mean they keep having eggs? [He wouldn't have thought eevees were like rabbits, but maybe there was a hint in those long ears of theirs. Still, he's more than happy to take up that suggestion.]

Sure, let's head up. I've got time to hang out for a while.

[With all of the Eevees surrounding him, Rin's not sure where he should take off his shoes...]

Well, not all of them at least. Most of them are siblings, I'm pretty sure.

[He gestures for Rin to follow them as he says this, leading the way to the foot of the stairs. With some more coaxing from his Flareon, the Eevees finally start to disperse a little, actually allowing room for him to get to the stairs without tripping on one of them.]

[He follows behind, making sure to avoid any stragglers. He might be waving goodbye to all the little Eevees, he might not.]

That would be pretty weird if they did, I guess. What's up here anyway? A game room?

Not exactly...other bedrooms, mostly. We have a lot of spare ones.

[This house is one of the largest in the city, after all, considering the amount of people and Pokemon it's housed over the years.

He leads Rin over to his bedroom, the door ajar since he'd just been in there. Shiruku can be seen seated on a rug in the corner next to a Galvantula and an Ariados, all three of them with their claws and appendages filled with yarn that's being busily knitted into various accessories. The entirety of his bed is occupied by a pair of lavish looking Persian, both of which open their eyes lazily to stare at Rin for a moment before closing them to return to their napping.]

[There was no game room but ... but there were other bedrooms? ...Like Chihiro's bedroom? He hardly has time to process the information when he finds himself already walking into her room. Shiruku was a welcome sight but the other bug-types threw him for a loop.]

What's up Shiruku? I didn't know you had helpers. [That would make Shiruku some sort of spinster boss, right?]

[The Leavanny trills in greeting, looking up as Rin calls out to her. Chihiro chuckles, walking over to stand next to his desk.]

That's Hatchimitsu and Sato. They both like to knit things just as much as Shiruku does.

[He extends his greeting to both of the other pokemon with a friendly smile and a small bow.]

You could start up a whole knitting donation thing from up here! [Rin doesn't follow Chihiro just yet, fascinated as he was to watch all three of those huge bug-types working together in solidarity.]

I'm sure they would enjoy that. It's not like we don't have plenty of yarn for it...

[Shiruku took so many balls of it when it was brought over from Kalos a while back that Chihiro was certain she'd be set for the next several years.]
