Hello... you've reached Chihiro Fujisaki. I apologize for missing you, but, um... please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

But that's what I'm supposed to do.
[He doesn't sound annoyed, per se, just...you can practically hear the ????, basically.]
Why the hell would I just decide not to?
no subject
...I'm sure there are plenty of reasons why you wouldn't. Not everyone's going to be good at it, or even...enjoy it, really, no matter what they were assigned to be when they got here. And if you don't enjoy what you do, at least a little...I just don't think you should continue with it.
[Especially not something like breeding, since so many...actual little baby things' lives are involved, here.]

[Again, while he's sounding pretty unyielding, he doesn't sound angry or anything - at least, not moreso than he usually does.]
no subject
Well...I suppose that's true, if you want to think about it that way. We don't really know who decides what we do here, though...only that you can't really predict what you'll be until you get here.
I have a friend who was a trainer when he first arrived, then went home...and when he came back, he was a breeder instead.

I don't get why this is any different, I guess.
no subject
Mm...I suppose. You are right about that, Ginti-san. I guess it all depends on what you do with what you have, like you said.
no subject
Right. So I don't get why it matters who picks our classification or our job or whatever it is you want to call it, or why they think we should have it. It's what we're here to do so we might as well do it.

[And that's out there before he can stop it, and there's the sort of awkward hesitation that implies that he's got no damn idea what to do now that it is.]
...Forget it.
no subject
He doesn't say that, though, deciding instead to just let that drop. After a short pause, he starts talking again.]
You have Horsea, Espurr, and Meowth now. Those are the only Pokemon you own so far?
[LET'S TALK BREEDING SOME MORE or something.]
no subject
...Corsola and Staryu. Those are the other two I've got right now. I've also got an egg from some girl.
no subject
An egg? What species is it?

no subject
...A Wailmer?

[NAILED...IT...???]
no subject
Ah...it's a water type. Quite a few of your Pokemon sound like they should be compatible with one another. I know Espurr and Meowth are, if nothing else.
[Assuming they're not, like. All girls.]
no subject
I've got a lot of girls, but I'll worry about that once I work out what I want to do; right now I'm just working with what I'm used to.

So do you specialize in anything? Type-wise, I guess, though some people just have a lot of one thing. I'm in Cherrygrove City, a bunch of people come here for vacation or something, and there's this one woman here - I've never seen so many cats that look like poodles in my life, it was kinda weird.

I obviously haven't raised too much yet myself, but I've seen a bunch while I've been here. My...person that I'm with babysits them a lot.
no subject
Are they a breeder too?
