[Chihiro had been keeping rather quiet on the Network since Prom for reasons, but recent murderschool students suddenly turning comatose had left him unsure and antsy. Not really wanting to talk to anyone particular, per-say, but just wanting to talk in general. Particularly light topics that might help alleviate the anxiety.

A lot of people here have Eevees, don't they? I wanted to ask and see what everyone's opinions are on the different forms they can potentially evolve into. It doesn't matter if yours has already evolved, or if you don't have one...

I also would like to apologize to anyone who may have received text messages in all caps from my Gear during the time I've been here. My Porygon likes to talk to people, particularly new arrivals, it looks like.... I've given him a project to work on so he shouldn't be bothering anyone else for a while.

Well, you already know that my Eevee evolved into a Flareon!

How has your Eevee been doing since it evolved?

Haze has been doing lovely. He hasn't stopped preening himself! I suppose it's because he's always next to Izzy and wants to look his best. I can't understand them, but I have a feeling he's constantly asking for his opinion.

It's really quite adorable. ❤

I'm glad to hear he's pleased with his evolution. Flareon seems like a good one, too.

Actually, I've heard a bit different from some of the shopkeepers since I had Haze evolve... But I'm still so new, I don't know whether to take their words with a grain of salt or not.

Mm? ...what do you mean, Garry-kun?

One of the locals to Goldenrod that I spoke to mentioned that Flareon seems to be one of the weaker evolutions... But, as I said, I'm not sure how true that is or not.

[codeforhope]

[There's a bit of a pause before he texts a response to that.]

I guess everyone is going to have different opinions about them. Did this person specify what it was that made Flareon seem to be weaker?

I believe it was something about how they were known for being a bit weaker when it comes to certain kinds of attacks? I should ask someone else who's more knowledgeable about such things. Perhaps you would have better luck if you asked some of the friends you have here.

I will...I just don't think it's fair to favor one evolution over another simply due to their strength.

Strength or not doesn't matter to me. This was Haze's choice. So long as he's happy, then I'm sure this was the right decision to make.

I'm sure he'll be more than strong enough to deal with anything, and if he doesn't... Myself and the rest of my team will be there for him. We're all in this together, after all.

Yes....that's a good way to think about it. I'm going to make sure that Henko is happy with whatever she decides to evolve into as well, whether she decides to at all.

I don't really battle much, of course, but even then...

Strength can be measured in many different ways, I think. Some are stronger in different ways than others.

Some are strong in ways that they can't see... but everyone else can. And others in ways that nobody can see...but it's still there, and doesn't make that person any less strong, or important.

That's right!

Even if you're a very small person, you can be clever or loving or brave. I suppose we're all like Pokemon, with our strengths and weaknesses. Even when we're like a "normal" type, which isn't particularly strong against any others, we're still precious and important. Sometimes it's not so obvious, but that doesn't make it any less true.

That's what I believe.

When you have an interest in art, you learn to find beauty in a lot of different things, ha ha.

I see. What kind of art are you interested in?

I really do like fashion most of the time. After my last experience at an art gallery, however, I think I might have to reevaluate anything else...

hm...well, what's wrong with having an interest in multiple types of art?

Bad experiences and that's all, really. I suppose you could say they're the same reasons involving why I don't much like Red Eyes.

I understand. That's ok. Sometimes I think about trying to find another hobby for myself...but I really am mostly just interested in computers.

As long as it's something you love to do, I don't see any reason why you need to find something else!

Ah...thank you. It just seems like variety might be nice, you know?

That is true... What other sort of things do you like, then?

....mm. Well. I like reading books on occassion, but they can be hard to concentrate on sometimes unless I'm reading for a purpose...like research or something.

[There's a lengthy pause before that text is actually sent, due to Chihiro putting in text and erasing it several times over. ...Perhaps mentioning to Garry that he would like to start working out someday is a thing he should keep to himself, for now.]

[He doesn't pay much attention to the gap. Sometimes that sort of thing happens- maybe something came up. The good thing about text messages is that you can take your time with them, if you ask him.]

I see. It sounds like you can be a very serious person sometimes then!

Let's see... As for myself, I suppose I also like hiking and things like that. I used to run and things like that back home. I suppose it's come in handy.

[Both for 'running for your life' purposes and for 'let's do the pokemon thing' purposes, really.]
