[It's been a little while since Chihiro has posted anything to the Network. Between traveling and swarms and crazy weather, things have been understandably busy. In any case, now that they've stopped in Ecruteak he's finally gotten a chance to check on something that's been left in his PC...

Chihiro can be seen sitting near the head of a hotel bed with his hands resting loosely in his lap. It's been pretty chilly outside lately now that the weather has caught up with that freak snowstorm in August, so he's wearing a thick Pancham hoodie, the front of which seems to be...shivering?

...at least until Chihiro pulls his hands back and a little head with two red, rabbit-like ears springing out into view appears, sniffing a little at the air as if wondering where the warmth had gone. But more than that, the poor little thing looks very sad, as evident by the way he tries to bury his face in Chihiro's hoodie again with a squeaking sigh.]

This little guy showed up in my PC a few weeks ago...he belonged to Atsuro-kun.

[Chihiro gently pets the top of the Plusle's head with a small sigh.]

I'm sure he misses his trainer very much...it seems like this isn't the first time he's had a trainer go home. It's so sad to think about, but he won't be alone with me, at least...

I've been reading some information about Plusle, and it seems like they are happier when they are with a partner. And Kodama here does seem to be lonely...

Does anyone know where Minun usually live? I was thinking maybe I could catch one to help keep him company.

[One, Chihiro's wearing a bear hoodie, which is about the greatest thing in the whole world. A+, 10/10, five stars, good stuff. Two...well, no, that's it.]

What's minun is yours~ [AHAHAHA, no one thinks you're funny, Teddie.] If you two are so chilly, why didn't you ask me for help? I totally know a way to keep warm.

[Just say the word and he will barge into that room, do not test him.]

I saw some Minun when I was in Kanto - I think they were outside of Vermilion City, on the route where Diglett's Cave is?

[Oh Teddie...he's been in your proximity for a month and it still doesn't get old.]

Ah...thank you, Teddie-san, but I think we'll be okay. Kodama is feeling a bit lonely, that's all. I think he'll be okay eventually, but I wanted to spend some time with him just in case.

They were all the way in Kanto?

[Oh dear...he was afraid of that.]

If that's the case, I probably won't be able to get one for a while. Not unless someone has one they could breed, anyway.

See, that's exactly what I'm saying! If he's so lonely, he'll wanna be around more people. Trust me, I'm like...the expert on loneliness.

[He'd write a book if he had the motivation.]

I was gonna bring Goro and everything, he's unbearlievably warm. That way they can pal up AND beat this chilly weather. You know, until you get your other thingy.

Well...if you do want to come over, I wouldn't mind. But please come quietly if you do...Kodama is a bit skittish still.

[It's mostly why he hasn't let his Arcanine or even Flareon out in here, lest the poor Plusle get scared by either one of them.]

Relaaaaax, I'm the quietest bear in town.

[Says Teddie. Who screams nearly all the time.]

We'll be over in a jiffy, just as long as you didn't go changing any rooms. In that case, somebody's gonna get, um, a surprise I suppose...

[But before Teddie can dwell on barging into a stranger's room any further, he ends the feed. If Chihiro has the ears for it, he might hear someone...whispering "Knock knock knock" right outside his door...as opposed to...actual knocking on the door.

Well, he did say to be quiet.]

[Chihiro can't help but smile a little when he hears that, Kodama lifting his head from the hoodie to peer curiously over at the noise.]

No it's noooot, that's why I'm knocking.

[He might be taking "open" just a wee bit too literally, but before Teddie can explain how the door is clearly closed, the giant typhlosion behind him opens it up, holding the door for his trainer like the world's fuzziest butler. It's okay tiny child, he understands the concept of a door might be difficult.]

Heeeeeey, Chi-chan! You didn't miss me too much, did you~?

He did say he had been here for a very long time. I suppose it was just finally time for him to go back home.

[As true as that probably is, he still can't help but be sad. He liked Atsuro a lot.]

Mmm...maybe I can try to see if someone owns one and could breed an egg for me.

[It would be impossible to really miss Teddie for long, even if he hadn't just seen him yesterday.]

Good morning, Teddie-san. You too, Goro.

[Kodama sinks back a little further into Chihiro's lap at the sight of the huge Typhlosion, still shivering a little now and then. Oooh boy please let this not be a Pokemon interested in having him for a snack...]

[Goro's head jerks back slightly in surprise, unsure what to think of that. He knew this plusle was timid, but he didn't realize it's that bad. He gives Teddie a confused glance, his trainer only offering a shrug in return because how should he know, and Goro can only sigh. EVER SO SLOWLY, the larger creature proceeds to go down on all fours to make himself appear smaller. Granted, he's still much larger than a plusle, but it's the best he can do here.

He doesn't walk up to Chihiro and Kodama just yet, instead opting for slinking off near them and laying down quietly. He'll just stay here into the tiny spark rabbit can get used to his apparently terrifying presence.

His trainer, however, slides up next to Chihiro immediately, BECAUSE WHY NOT?]

You know, I noticed there's a lot of pokeys who kinda look like your little guy. They all got the same sorta face and the cheek spots and stuff. You think they're all just one big family or something?

It's possible. Like Pikachu, Plusle and Minun, and Dedenne...they all have pretty similar appearances, don't they?

[Bless you Goro for defusing the situation, because the Plusle definitely seems a bit more at ease now, if no less sad than he was when Chihiro first made his post.]

If nothing else, I'm sure that Plusle and Minun must be related somehow, if not part of the same species. They seem to just be variations of one another.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen a Minun here in Johto before.

[How mysterious.]

Thank you. I know Kodama would appreciate that.

As for Atsuro-kun...maybe he'll be able to come back, one day. A lot of people do sometimes, right?

[He doesn't want to yank him away from his home, of course, but it's still a possibility.]

I don't think I've seen Plusle here, either. This one is the first that I have seen.

I would go to Kanto to catch one, but it's a bit far for me to be traveling right now.

[Banjou nods.]

It's almost winter, too. I wouldn't want to get stuck so far from home in case it starts to snow, you know?

Mhm, that's right. I've been traveling quite a lot the last month...I think I'd like to stay in town for a while. At least for the holidays, anyway.

Maybe you'll get lucky and and someone will have bred a Minun.

[He'd offer, but the closet he has is a Pachirisu.]

Ah, so you've been dealing with those that have been separated from their friends as well, then...a bit of a shame, n'est-ce pas?

[Tsukiyama's words are gentle over the feed, though; he doesn't seem distressed or anything, just a little subdued.]

It's been suggested to me to try using psychic-type Pokémon, if possible, to see what sort of thing might help them; I'm never entirely sure how I feel about that, but perhaps you're a bit more receptive.

Hopefully! If not, that's okay too...I'm sure I will be able to cheer Kodama up some other way.

[Chihiro nods, letting his fingers run lightly over the top of the Plusle's head again.]

Yes...I try to cheer them up as much as I know how, but sometimes it doesn't work.

[It's understandable, though. He can't imagine being separated from someone who was essentially your partner, only to be given to someone else that you don't even know all that well. The best he can do is treat them right.]

Mm...I suppose it couldn't hurt. He seems a little nervous around most of my Pokemon, but I have a Musharna that is very easy going that he might get along with.

I believe I have seen such a creature in Kanto, though I cannot truly say for certain.

[He tried to catch one. It fled. He doesn't want to talk about it.]
