[A video flickers into life on the Network, and for a moment the only thing that can be seen is the cheerful face of a Leavanny as she dutifully adjusts the Gear so it will be properly in focus. She bounces away from the screen a second later with her arms spread wide to bring attention to a rather impressive array of scarves that have been laid across Chihiro's bed. ...no, really, there are a lot of them. Like, so many that there are little stacks of them piled where the few aren't sitting on display.

...they're also sortof janky as all hell but you've probably never seen a bug more happy about anything in her entire life.

Chihiro stands next to her as she continues to gesture at the accessories, wearing one of the scarves around his neck. It's far too long for any normal human to be wearing and the patterns adorning all of them are mismatched and just a little hideous, but...they look really warm?]

It's starting to get colder recently, isn't it? It will probably be snowing very soon...and Shiruku here has been knitting scarves for most of the year. But we, um...we have more than we know what to do with right now.

[Chihiro's expression betrays that he knows how ugly they are, but that he's also trying to silently beg anyone watching to not tell her that, please do not crush her dreams oh my god]

And people have started showing up again, and I'd hate to know that they were having to travel in this cold weather without anything to keep them warm. So we're giving these away to anyone who needs one! They won't cost anything, so don't worry about that...like I said, we have a lot of them in all sorts of colors. Consider them an early Christmas present. They've all been hand knitted by Shiruku herself.

I can send them to wherever you are, or you can come get one in person if you would like, if you are in Goldenrod right now.

[Just before the feed cuts, Shiruku picks up one of the scarves and holds it up so everyone out there can see it better. It's a vibrantly purple thing, and it drags the ground. She looks very proud of it.]

[After getting over the initial shock, Chihiro can't help but giggle softly. Meanwhile, Shiruku is suddenly very busy partitioning off very large chunks of her stockpile to send Neku's way.

And honestly, Chihiro doesn't even mind. He wasn't lying when he said that they had more than they knew what to do with.]

You don't have to pay me. That would be a lot of scarves to pay for, after all...I'm just happy knowing it would make your Pokemon happy.

Thankfully the Gyrados don't want some. I doubt they'd do great in water...

Yes, I don't think they are very...waterproof.

[More like heavily absorbent, since yarn and all. Hopefully that won't be a problem when it snows.]

But they should keep you warm, either way.

If it's gonna be anything like last year, it's gonna be a doozy of a winter.

[Chihiro nods in agreement.]

I'm hoping it won't get too cold, but judging by how cold it is already...that's why I decided to give these out early, instead of waiting for December.

Smart move. Though speaking of new people showing up, honestly it's about time we set up something to help them other then 'Mom' and hoping they have friends already here.

I agree. The best thing would be some quick transport from New Bark to Cherrygrove, at least...then they wouldn't have to worry about traveling the distance unless they wanted. Cherrygrove has a hotel where New Bark doesn't, so they could stay there until they decided where to go from there.

I'll think on it for a bit, see if I can come up with something. Ideally someone should just live there but- yeah no one wants to live in New Bark Town.

...Is there anywhere to live in New Bark?

You'd probably have to build your own house.

Probably...New Bark wouldn't be a very good place to stay though, you're right. There isn't even a Pokemon Center there.

Which makes me wonder why people are dropped off there. I don't care if it matches the 'game' or whatever, it's stupid. Especially in the winter.

I figure it must be because that's where the lab is...but it is still inconvenient, even though trainers can take the ferry if they want. A bigger town like Goldenrod would be a better starting point.

Yeah... though I guess there's no point getting too mad about it. But I'm gonna keep an eye on the network once it starts snowing and see if I can talk Nagi into teaching one of my Smeargle Teleport or something.

That would be useful! Flying isn't going to be much of an option once it starts snowing.

...and you'll have plenty of scarves to keep you warm.
