[Oh thank the bears above, Teddie can't be any happier to get that call back. Although he's no longer crying, there's still some sort of weird rustle in the background. Whatever it is must've gotten somewhat manageable, and hey! The gear didn't break after whatever just happened to it. Hooray for small miracles.]

[Teddie's voice is low and raspy, like he's scared of...something.]

[Again, more rustling. Although this time Teddie can be heard shouting "NO, NO BITING!" in the background before quickly rushing back.]

BUT IT'S GOTTA BE A DUD! The pojoman that came outta it is...SHE'S MEAN!

[Okay. Okay, he's had experience with this before. Ooh, he wishes Teddie were closer...Hogosha and Horu would be able to handle an unruly baby, no problem.

But he isn't, so. ALRIGHT LET'S...TRY SOMETHING.]

[There's a different kind of rustle this time, the sort of sound you'd hear when one digs around in their belongings. It isn't long before all the commotion dies down and all that's left is a very relieved sigh.]

[The sounds of a very grateful cubchoo can be heard over her trainer, cheering for whoever gave said trainer such wonderful advise. ...Even if he should've known it.]

[Chihiro lets out a sigh of his own, glad to hear that he was actually successful.]

Sometimes baby Pokemon can be a little scared when they first hatch...especially if they hatch away from their parents. It doesn't happen very often, but they can be aggressive.

[Of course, that depends on the species. He knows that his Garchomp was really bitey when he was just a Gible, and all.]

What species of Pokemon is it?

[Teddie scratches the back of his head, not that Chihiro can see that or anything. Yeah, he wishes that was the problem...]

Being afraid is the last thing she is. T-Trust me...

[Although now comes the big questions, huh? Does anyone really expect Teddie to remember the names of pokemon? He can't even remember how to say pokemon correctly.]

She's definitely another bear, but this time she's a big meanie one. And here I thought pandas were suppose to be nice!

I just wanted to know for sure. I haven't had much experience with Pancham, but...

[Hang on, give him just a sec. He doesn't even have to search on his own- Zip, his Porygon, has it up on his Gear in just a moment or two.]

The Pokedex says that "It does its best to be taken seriously by its enemies, but its glare is not sufficiently intimidating." So it sounds like this Pokemon is naturally a little, um...confrontational.

Nah, nothin' like that. Like I said bearfore, she hatched a couple days back and was totally fine! I mean, she was kinda grumpy, but I figured it was like...Kanji-level grumpy.

[God damn it, Teddie, you can't make up levels based on your friends. Especially friends no one even knows.]

But then things just started getting worse and worse and now all she does is hit and bite like I'm some kinda Teddie punching bag! ...It stinks, you know? I feel real bad about putting them in the ball thingies, but she won't stop.

[Huh...obviously, something's caused this to happen, or at least caused her behavior to worsen over time.]

I think I might have an idea, if you would like to give it a try. But I'll need you to turn your Gear's video on for me, okay? I will turn mine on as well.

[And of course Teddie responds to that in the only way Teddie knows how: WRONG]

Ah~ I knew it. It was only a matter of time before you wanted to see my sparkling face again~

[TEDDIE PLEASE. And Chihiro responds the only way he knows how- by giggling weakly and no doubt blushing a little on his end.]

I...will also need you to release your Pancham again, once your video is on.

[There is the world's longest groan.]

[After that...display, Teddie fiddles with his gear and turns on the video, looking a lot less sparkly than he just described. His hair is completely out of place and there's a good number of visible scratches, all from one little bear. Holding up his pancham's pokeball, he prepares himself for the worst, practically flinching when the ball opens up.

Once out, the bear that was inside looks none too happy and gives a loud huff, growling under her breath. Just one wrong move and swear to...something, she'll attack.]

Chi-chan, this is Rosa-chan.

[When Chihiro switches to video himself, Teddie will see him seated on the edge of his bed with an Abra curled up on his lap, looking for all the world like she was just woken from a nap. It's probably only due to Chihiro having gotten her attention that she's awake and aware right now at all.

He tips his head to the Pancham with a slight smile before focusing his Gear on the Abra.]

Hello. Rosa-chan, this is Chiaki. Is it okay if she talks to you for a moment?

[Rosa appears caught off guard as she stares into the feed like a deer in headlights. It's a sudden change from her original gruff demeanor, that's for sure. But Rosa's smart, or so she likes to tell herself, and figures out the device relatively quickly. Putting her Pancham™ style glare back on, she yanks the pokegear from Teddie's hands and turns her back towards him. If Teddie even THINKS of peeking over her shoulder... In fact, she gives him a quick glare to make sure he knows he isn't wanted right now, before turning back towards the feed and nodding.]

[Chihiro lowers the Gear down so it will be eye-level with the Abra, letting her take over control of it. She doesn't reach out to take it in her claws, though, instead content to just let Chihiro hold it for the time being.

With her tail slowly curling over the edge of the bed, she reaches out to Rosa telepathically.]

...hello. You are Rosa...right?

[Again, surprised, it's not like she was expecting something like that. So ...what? Is talking normally not good enough for the psychic type? What a goon.

As Rosa can't talk telepathically, she sticks to pokemon-speak. It's about as elegant as anyone would expect.]

What's with you? Can't hold the thing yourself?

[Chiaki tilts her head to the side slowly.]

Mmm...sleepy.

...are you angry?

[What a lazy little- Her eyes widen at Chiaki's question and she immediately begins to growl. Balling up one of her tiny paws into a fist, it begins to sparkle and crack with electricity- it's a thunder punch. Without any hesitation, she swings her punch at a very unlucky tree that just so happens to be right next to her.

Oh. Right. They're outside.]

I want to FIGHT!!

[She shouts as she punches the tree with all her tiny bear might. Teddie, of course, starts yelling in the background. Let's not attack the nature please!]

[Chihiro jumps with surprise when the Pancham suddenly unleashes her attack, but the Abra doesn't move. She just breathes a slow sigh, her ears flicking upwards.]

...you want to battle?

[Rosa responds by stomping her feet like a toddler. At the very least, she stopped taking her anger out on the foliage.]

We don't battle, we NEVER battle!

[She growls again, this time kicking a rock.]
