There is something I have been thinking about for a while, so I wanted to get some opinions from others about it.

The PokéGear has a lot of useful functions. Some of them are pretty standard, like the Pokédex, Map, or Radio, and most of us use the PokéGear connect to speak to the Network like I am doing right now. And of course you can play games or listen to music on it, too.

The Gear is useful for both trainers and breeders when it comes to having ready information on Pokémon, but I think most of us do tend to use it mostly for communication purposes. But that's why I wanted to ask...

Are there any sorts of applications that you think might be useful additions to the PokéGear? Something that could be helpful for you as a trainer, or breeder...or possibly just something you would like for recreational purposes, maybe.

Aha. That's a topic I haven't had much time to get into yet, though it's very interesting to me. I did have a program that forecast events for the day with fairly accurate results, but nothing that robust.

It's something I have been working on for quite a while. Like I said, I don't have any of my work here, but I have been able to build it back up to some degree during my time here. I can see where a program like that could be useful, however.

What other sorts of programs have you created?

Well... my previous project was one that dealt with the summoning of creatures somewhat similar to Pokemon. However, I don't think that much of it will be useful here, given that the sheer biological differences are immense.

When you say they were similar to Pokemon, what do you mean by that, exactly?

[He's curious, since the way Naoya is describing it...it sounds like these creatures are more like data if they can be summoned through technological means.]

They were... well, they were creatures from folklore. Demons.

Demons...

...if you don't mind me asking, why were you summoning demons?

That was what the program I was contracted to build was for.

Well...yes, but...was there a reason you were contracted to summon...demons?

If you can't tell me, that's fine.

It's somewhat of a long story, but essentially the people who contracted me worshiped a demon and knew that the fight to become king of demons was coming. They wanted to be able to protect themselves. And what better to fight the demons that were going to arrive than with demons they could summon themselves?

Did your program work?

It did. Quite well, in fact.

Well...that's good, at least.

[Regardless of...what it was to be used for.]

Though I guess you'll have to think of some sort of...different program to create, here.
